Sophie Pacini and cabaret artist Andreas Rebers in the Munich Künstlerhaus – Munich

Word and sound are just smoke and mirrors if the timing is not right. Be it a sharp tongue or pianistic expressiveness – the small nuances make great art, the feeling for time and dramaturgy, in addition to the emotional and intellectual substance that unfolds. “The puns are pouring out of his head,” says the pianist Sophie Pacini, laughing about the cabaret artist Andreas Rebers.

The internationally acclaimed pianist, who also did not mince words, and the award-winning cabaret artist will present a joint stage program for the first time on Tuesday, October 17th at the Munich Künstlerhaus. Under the motto “Among us” they stage a “public appointment”, a rather intimate rendezvous between two clever minds, in which “witty meets nuances”, cabaret meets piano art. They tell anecdotes, politicize, link punchlines and music. Works from Schumann to Bach and Stravinsky to Villa-Lobos and Jewish folk songs can be heard.

Among us: Sophie Pacini and Andreas Rebers, Tuesday, October 17th, 7:30 p.m., Münchner Künstlerhaus, Lenbachplatz 8, tickets available kuenstlerhaus-muc.de.
