Soon a new Amazon warehouse, as a subcontractor

Contract logistics company ID Logistics is approached to operate a warehouse in Brebières (Pas-de-Calais) on behalf of the American e-commerce giant Amazon, according to corroborating sources. “It’s a 69,000 m2 logistics warehouse, built by Goodman on a wasteland owned by the Stora company, which produced paper and left in 2016. ID Logistics, with Pôle emploi, will recruit up to 500 people until December ”, reported Lionel David (various right), the mayor of this town of 5,000 inhabitants.

ID Logistics does not confirm

ID Logistics, which says it has several projects in the north of France, has not however confirmed having signed a contract with Amazon. The Pôle emploi site offers several offers for warehouse team leaders and warehousing logistics agents for ID Logistics in Brebières. “It will be a large subcontracting warehouse for e-commerce, with three-shift teams from Monday to Sunday, with 500 jobs by the end of the summer, then double in the long term,” said detailed Nicolas Magnien (CGT) elected CSE at ID Logistics northern region and who works at the Dourges warehouse, where they are service providers for Carrefour.

ID Logistics, which is headquartered in Bouches-du-Rhône, claims 340 sites in 17 countries around the world, and generates 44% of its turnover in France, which was 1.642 billion euros in total in 2020.
