Where does this series come from?
Before Snabba Cash, there was a trilogy of movies, called Easy Money, released ten years ago, and taken from the novel of the same name, written by Jens Lapidus. When adapting the plot to serial, the author worked alongside Oskar Söderlund. The Netflix production is not, however, a faithful adaptation of the work, nor a continuation of the films. Jens Lapidus made the bet to make a whole new story from his story, supposed to be ten years after the events of the trilogy.
Series Snabba Cash takes place in the slums of modern-day Stockholm where we follow the daily life of Leya, a young single mother, played by Swedish actress Evin Ahmad, who is trying to find her place as an entrepreneur in the sector start-ups.
In the heart of a lawless environment where all low blows are permitted to obtain fame and money, Leya will quickly meet Salim, played by Alexander Abdallah, who, when not singing in weddings, is a killer. hired. Desperate to quit her food job as a waitress and earn quick money, Leya will find herself entangled in Salim’s gang affairs and risk her life.

Unlike the films, where the main character was played by a man, the series Snabba Cash offers a breath of fresh air on the story of Jens Lapidus by choosing to offer the leading role to Evin Ahmad (Leya).
