Amateur archaeologists have found human remains on the site of the former Nazi headquarters in Poland. The director of the Munich State Collection of Anthropology, Albert Zink, explains in an interview why this can be a problem for science and why we should wait before interpreting the background. He would like to see anthropologists called in much more quickly when bones are found – ideally directly at the site.
