Six strangers are said to have demanded money from a ten-year-old on a playground in Straubing. The alleged perpetrators initially played football with him, the police said on Monday. Two of them are said to have searched the boy for valuables on Sunday. The strangers then pulled him towards a nearby skate park and asked him to give them money, it said. A previously unknown older man became aware of the situation and asked the ten-year-old if everything was okay, said a police spokesman. But the boy did not dare to say that he was in an emergency. Finally, the six people are said to have let go of the ten-year-old and fled. According to the information, he was not injured. The criminal police is now investigating, among other things, because of attempted predatory extortion. The ten-year-old described the alleged perpetrators as about 18 to 19 years old, said a police spokesman.
