The “Siren Eyes” are currently going viral on TikTok – a beguiling make-up look inspired by Greek mythology.

In Greek mythology, a siren is the symbol of seduction – a hybrid of woman and bird whose nymphs’ song is so beguiling that it lures seafarers to their deaths. Throughout history, the sirens have become synonymous with dangerously seductive women. Now the legend of the sirens has inspired a new make-up trend: “Siren Eyes” are currently going viral on TikTok, which are supposed to create a charming look and could replace the classic cat eye.

The term “Siren Eyes” was launched by TikToker Daniella Marcan – the hashtag #SirenEyes now has almost 370 million hits. Stars like model Bella Hadid (25) also swear by the “Siren Eyes”. This is how you create the mythical look.

How to make up the “Siren Eyes”

For the seductive look you need an eyeshadow palette with light and dark shades and black eyeliner. The lighter shade is applied to the lid and lightly around the entire eye. Then use a darker shade to draw a broad line across the lash line at the outer corner of the eye.

The look is intensified with black eyeliner: on the outer eye, pull the liner sharply outwards, eye tape can help to create a more accurate line. Then you extend the eye with eyeliner in the inner corner of the eye and along the waterline. With some black eyeshadow and a thin brush, you then blend the eyeliner a little to make the look less severe. Black mascara provides the perfect touch.
