Singer Sandy Patton with Swiss Quintet in the jazz bar Vogler – Munich

She started playing music professionally as a young girl and was soon singing in the bands of Lionel Hampton, Dizzy Gillespie, Paquito D’Rivera, Cab Calloway, Joe Haider, Ray Brown and many others. For almost 20 years she was a professor of jazz singing in Bern – Sandy Patton can confidently be called “The Grande Dame of Jazz”, as it says on her homepage. And even at 75, she is still very active, constantly giving concerts in Switzerland and Italy and still going on tour.

Currently with the Swiss quintet of pianist Lothar Kraft, in which Gregor Storf on saxophone, Viet Hübner on bass and Patrick Manzecchi on drums. A classic jazz evening with authentic living jazz history awaits you when Sandy Patton joins you on September 13th at the Jazzbar Vogler.
