A friend, he apologizes, broke the “axe” on the kickstarter of the moped in Portugal. “I quickly wished him all the best before the operation.” Pearce high-fives the waitress and orders veal sausage with sweet mustard. “De san sauguad do,” he says, translated: They’re really good there.
