Silke Burmester on “Sugarlove” (ARD): This is how women over 50 are told – media

It starts around 2 p.m. Then open with red roses the entertainment blossoms of the ARD: films and series for women. With women. Women who garden, take care of animals or boarders. Women shown as mothers, as wives, as betrayers. Or as a corpse. And despite all the effort, viewers and filmmakers won’t stop complaining. Especially women over fifty: they are not visible enough, their lives are not adequately portrayed. A woman’s life outside of family contexts and in relation to men is rarely shown. And sex would not even exist for them.
