Siemens invests in the US economy

Siemens is investing $290 million in the USA. A factory is to be built in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas in which electrical components for data centers and other IT infrastructure will be built, as the Munich technology group announced. Demand in this area will increase by ten percent annually until 2030. 1,700 jobs are to be created there and in two electrical products plants in Grand Prairie, Texas and Pomona, California, which also belong to the Smart Infrastructure division. “With this step, Siemens is completing its two billion euro investment strategy for 2023, which is aimed at growth, innovation and resilience worldwide,” said CEO Roland Busch. The largest part of this, one billion euros, is going to Germany, as Siemens announced in July. Half a billion euros alone are expected to flow into the expansion of the electronics factory in Erlangen, Franconia.
