Siegsdorf: SEK mission after shots from the balcony – Bavaria

Large-scale operation in Siegsdorf: Officials from a special task force broke into the apartment of a 37-year-old man in Siegsdorf early on Saturday morning and arrested him for the time being. According to the police, the man had repeatedly shot from the balcony of his apartment in the center of town.

Witnesses heard repeated shots in the area and called the police. The officers could not rule out that the man used a sharp weapon. That’s why officials from the Traunstein Police Inspectorate, from surrounding inspection agencies, the Bavarian Border Police, the Criminal Investigation Department, the Federal Police and the Police Inspectorate Special Units were called in.

The man did not resist when he was arrested – but a preliminary alcohol test showed a value of well over two per mille. When the apartment was searched, a blank pistol, a spring-loaded pistol, magazines and ammunition were found and seized. The 37-year-old was released after the police measures were completed. He is now being investigated for violations of the Weapons Act.
