Who ? Sheep! Yes, around twenty sheep were able to frolic in the courtyard of the Harcy primary school on Thursday morning, in the middle of a “dead” day for the students. They had been invited by the mayor of the town, supported by parents of students and teachers. “Since we have already closed two out of five classes in five years and a third is threatened, we wondered what would become of the school. And why not a sheepfold? “, falsely wonders the elected Joël Richard, not a little proud of the successful media stunt. And finely prepared since a class photo, with only sheep on it, had also been hung on the entrance gate. Above a clear message: “We are not sheep”.
Other “spectacular” actions announced
On site, the animals were well cared for, with for example hay available. “A dozen others were in the courtyard of the Sormonne school, because we are a school group of three municipalities, for around 120 students”, specifies the city councilor, who does not understand the decision of the departmental services management.
