In the south of Germany, storms have caused many fire brigade operations and disrupted train traffic, especially in the south of Germany. In Lindau on Lake Constance, a campsite had to be completely cleared (Der star reported). Heavy thunderstorms can also be expected in many parts of Germany on Friday. This time it is likely to hit the west and the north in particular, as the German weather service (DWD) writes in its warning report on Friday: “Further, partly strong thunderstorms up to storms” are announced in the further course of the day. These are therefore sometimes accompanied by gusts of wind, heavy rain and also hail. Occasionally, hurricane-like gusts or even tornadoes cannot be completely ruled out, it is said. In the south, on the other hand, only isolated thunderstorms are expected. The maps below provide an overview of the current weather conditions.
