On Friday night, a truck had an accident on the A7 near Bad Bramstedt. At noon there was another accident involving twelve vehicles. The autobahn is closed to the south from Bad Bramstedt.
According to the police, heavy hailstorms in the Steinburg district on Friday morning caused a series of accidents on the Autobahn 7 between the Kaltenkirchen and Henstedt-Ulzburg junctions. Twelve vehicles were involved. From Bad Bramstedt, the southbound motorway is closed. Traffic will be diverted at the Bad Bramstedt junction. According to the police, it is not yet clear how long the closure will last.
40 injured after several vehicles collided
Four people were seriously injured in the accident, 36 slightly injured. Police and ambulances are on site. The police are not yet able to provide any information on how the accident happened. The salvage work is underway. Some of the vehicles have to be towed away and then the road has to be cleaned. After a truck accident nearby, traffic flows northwards almost normally again on Friday night.
A24 also closed after truck accident
The A24 from Hamburg to Berlin is also blocked at Reinbek. After a truck accident, the rescue work is underway. However, since it is a gravel truck, the work will take several hours, the police announced via Twitter.
