A parachute jump from a height of 15,000 meters.
This is not a professional athlete, but a 90-year-old Brit from North Yorkshire.
However, this is not his first jump from this height.
Show location: Skydive Hibaldstow, United Kingdom
70 years ago Frank Ward was part of the Parachute Regiment.
Just in time for his 90th birthday, he jumps in tandem with another ex-conscript.
Despite misgivings, he allows himself to be persuaded by a friend.
“The case was absolutely amazing. It was terrifying, but at the same time it was awesome.” – Frank Ward
The jump isn’t just for fun, though.
The jump will raise £2,000 in donations.
The money will be donated to the retirement home where his wife has lived for 18 months.
He was motivated by the idea of being able to give his wife a new wheelchair.
“Retirement homes will be under a lot of pressure this year. You have enough problems due to the lack of staff. Now there’s also the problem of heating bills.” – Frank Ward
Being able to help motivated him to repeat the jump again.
However, he did not expect such a great sympathy and willingness to donate.
