The senator and departmental advisor of Bouches-du-Rhône, Jean-Noel Guérini, appealed against his conviction learned today Provence. He was sentenced Friday to three years in prison, including 18 months suspended sentence, 30,000 euros fine and five years of deprivation of civic, civil and family rights, by the Marseille criminal court.
The case will therefore be retried by the Aix-en-Provence Court of Appeal. Note that Jean-Noël Guérini will be able to remove his electronic bracelet, but remains ineligible, his sentence of deprivation of civil rights having been accompanied by a provisional execution.
