Self-service electric scooters will return with spring

Electric scooter enthusiasts won’t have to stamp their feet too long. While the Indigo Weel machines definitively disappeared from Toulouse in mid-December following the fire in their logistics warehouse, the town hall announced the arrival of two new operators “in the spring”.

These are Yego, already present in Bordeaux and Paris, with its light green machines, and the Batavian operator Felyx, already present in particular in Brussels and Berlin and whose machines are bottle green. The two candidates won the call for expressions of interest (AMI) launched in June 2021 by the Capitol and pledged to respect “a precise framework of intervention, particularly on compliance with parking rules”. They will have the right to deploy 300 self-service scooters each, for an annual fee of 50 euros per machine.

In a press release, Yego announces that its scooters will arrive “by May”.
