Self-determination law should be improved – politics

The law aims to put an end to discrimination. But precisely the people whose rights are at stake are now rebelling against it. The federal government’s planned self-determination law, which is intended to make it easier for transgender and intersex people to change their gender entry in the register of persons, has met with resistance from many of those affected. Well-intentioned, but in parts dangerously badly done, according to statements from associations.
