Ségolène Royal questions possible crimes in Ukraine and denounces Zelensky’s “propaganda”

The former socialist presidential candidate in 2007 questions the crimes of Boutcha, the bombed maternity hospital in south-eastern Ukraine and protests against Zelensky’s “war of fear propaganda”.

Ségolène Royal questioned certain war crimes of Ukraine this Friday morning on BFM TV. The former socialist presidential candidate of 2007 denounces a “propaganda of war by fear” of the Ukrainian president Zelensky.

On the news channel, she questioned the bombing of a maternity hospital last March in the south-east of the country. “You can imagine that if there was the slightest victim, the slightest baby with blood, in the age of cell phones we would have had them (the images)…”

Ségolène Royal may have forgotten that there are many images of this bombardment.

For her, Zelensky “used this” to disrupt the peace process.

She questions the Boutcha massacre

She then questioned the Boutcha massacre and “the story of child rape for seven hours under the eyes of the parents”. She persists in saying: “it’s monstrous to go and broadcast things like that only to interrupt the peace process”.

Already, at the beginning of August, she sparked controversy with a tweet in which she expressed doubts: “The NGOs are also still awaiting proof of the alleged horrors, places and names of the victims. Horrors which led to more war and stopped any process of peace: bombarded pregnant women and babies, torture of prisoners, child victims of rape: Where? When? Who?”

The first secretary of the socialist party Olivier Faure reacted strongly to these remarks in a first tweet: “War crimes are documented, denying it is an insult to the murdered, the raped, the tortured! To say the opposite is propaganda!”.

Then in a second: “She says that the denunciation of crimes (which she doubts) has a purpose: to hinder the peace process. The attacked become the warmongers. Until proven otherwise, the Ukrainians are the resisters in a war that they did not choose”.

She doesn’t just say that. Alas. She says that the denunciation of crimes (which she doubts) has a purpose: to hinder the peace process. The attacked become warmongers \ud83d\ude43.
