There were some unusual scenes in the committee of inquiry into the billion dollar disaster on the Munich S-Bahn. The committee is now taking stock and has many tips for the state government as to what they can do better in future large-scale projects.
The SPD deputy Inge Aures from Upper Franconia, who can be quite biting when dealing with the CSU, was recently very happy about a now very rare guest in the state parliament from the ranks of the Christian Socialists. Horst Seehofer was there, formerly head of government and party. “I can only thank you,” said Aures to Seehofer that he had done so much for Upper Franconia. Seehofer was also happy to see him again, but added to the general cheerfulness that he was even more happy when he saw his wife.
