Security resources will be “increased tenfold”, according to Minister Darmanin

French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin said Sunday in Seine-Saint-Denis that the means to ensure the security of the 2024 Olympic Games and its opening ceremony on the Seine in Paris would be “tenfold” compared to those mobilized for the Rugby World Cup.

“The Ministry of the Interior will be ready to organize the opening ceremony, to ensure the safety of spectators and teams,” continued the Minister, during a trip to the Saint-Denis police station, where the Stadium is located. Olympic, in the northern suburbs of Paris.
