There will be two Rosenkavaliers in the new “The Bachelor” season. This is what ex-bachelor Sebastian Pannek thinks of the new concept.

With Sebastian Klaus (35) and Dennis Gries (30), two “Bachelors” are looking for true love in the 14th season of “The Bachelor”. They embark on a dating adventure in South Africa together. Ex-Bachelor would have liked to distribute the roses together with another man Sebastian Pannek (37) couldn’t imagine taking part in 2017. “For me personally it wouldn’t have been anything at the time,” explains the 37-year-old to the news agency spot on news.

Problems and a lot of drama?

To this day, he thinks the format in its original form is “still very good, unfortunately something had to be done about the falling ratings.” However, the two Rosenkavaliers make a good impression on Pannek. “I think they’re both really smart guys and really ‘Bachelor’ type guys.” Even if he would have preferred father and son, twins or best friends. “I think that would have been even more interesting for the viewer.”

Nevertheless, the innovation should offer a lot for fans. “Of course there could be conflict between the two ‘Bachelors’ if they favor the same women. That could really cause problems and a lot of drama, perfect for the viewer,” Pannek speculates. Since the ‘Bachelors’ are very similar types, there could also be a fight among the women. “This would have been defused, for example, with visually different ‘Bachelors’.”

Start date has not yet been set

It is not yet known when “The Bachelors” will start. However, RTL announced that it would announce the date “soon”. But it’s not just the two Rosenkavaliers who are new: the blind dates are starting in Germany for the first time. Here the men can choose their 22 candidates from 30 women who can come to South Africa with them.

Pannek fell in love with Clea-Lacy Juhn (32) in the seventh “Bachelor” season. The two were a couple for a year and a half. He then got to know and love the former “Bachelor” candidate Angelina Heger (31). They are now married and have two children together.
