Five people were injured in a room fire in Tulbeckstrasse (Schwanthalerhöhe) on Sunday afternoon. The fire started in the ground floor apartment of a five-story apartment building.
When the fire and rescue services arrived, they saw several people standing at the windows. A young girl was cut off from the escape route at the back of the building. Like the other residents, she was rescued with an escape hood.
Three people were taken to the hospital, two were able to stay on site after medical treatment. Fire investigators from the police are in the process of finding out the cause of the fire. The damage is estimated by the fire department in the six-digit range.
