After speculation, the Swedish palace confirmed her appearance at the ESC 2024: Princess Victoria now appeared in the Malmö Arena on the big final day.

Malmö – Sweden is not only known for its impressive nature, but also for the Swedish royal family. And for the “Eurovision Song Contest“, which is taking place in Malmö this year. So it’s no wonder that it was expected that the royals would show up at the music spectacle. But did they?

Confirmed by the palace: Princess Victoria will be a guest at the ESC

Last month, the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet reported that Princess Victoria (46) would be a guest at the “Eurovision Song Contest”. But not alone: Both her husband Prince Daniel (50) and their two children Estelle (12) and Oscar (8) should be there.

But then there was disillusionment at the big ESC finale: The presenters Malin Åkerman and Petra Mede ceremoniously opened the show – but apparently didn’t have any royals to welcome in the Malmö Hall. At the beginning of the ESC, a video message from the Crown Princess was shown. Then came the big surprise.

Actually: Crown Princess of Sweden is in the Malmö Arena

A shot from the Malmö Arena shows Princess Victoria standing in the audience. So the 46-year-old showed up for the ESC. She beams with joy and enjoys the event and the evening. However, disappointment also follows: Apparently neither Victoria’s husband nor her children are present. The current security situation may be a reason for the princess’s sole presence.

But at least: At least ESC participant Isaak can claim that a real crown princess saw him live on stage. The 29-year-old father has already completed his appearance in the Malmö Arena. He started as number 3. Sources used: ARD / “Eurovision Song Contest”
