SBU icon compares Kolo Muani to Yeboah

Randal Kolo Muani only needed one Bundesliga season to shoot his way up to become possibly the most sought-after striker in Eintracht Frankfurt’s history. Judging by the rumored transfer fee for the best scorer of the past season, Kolo Muani could rise to a record transfer this summer. Eintracht icon Andreas Möller, however, expressed doubts.

The ex-world champion believes Kolo Muani is capable of a great career, but already sees him no longer in the best of hands with the Adlerträger: “With all due respect to the Conference League, but for a player of this quality, the Champions League must be the goal,” Möller was quoted in the “Bild”.

However, the 55-year-old does not see the starter as far and as strong as other observers of the scene: “For me, he is not yet a complete striker, he may need another Eintracht year to get there,” is the prognosis of the club former midfield star, who celebrated his greatest career successes at club level with Borussia Dortmund.

Möller: Kolo Muani is not yet as complete as Yeboah

In the last few weeks and months, comparisons with another top striker in the Eintracht jersey, namely Anthony Yeboah, have repeatedly been made around the SBU. The star striker, who played for the Hessians from 1990 to 1995 and was top scorer in the Bundesliga twice during this time, had Kolo Muani a bit ahead in a direct comparison, emphasized Möller.

“You shouldn’t make the mistake of comparing him (Randal Kolo Muani, ed.) to Yeboah. Tony was more mature, he was a complete player. Because he had a lot more experience in the 2nd and 1st divisions collected before he went to England.”

The long-time Bundesliga star, who was once also active for FC Schalke, undoubtedly believes Kolo Muani is capable of making the leap to a top international club like Paris Saint-Germain. At the moment, however, he still hopes that his advisors will not put too much pressure on the 24-year-old.

Most recently, PSG in particular had emerged as very interested in the French national player, but FC Bayern should also continue to have Kolo Muani on the list.
