If you recently attended the performance of the Norwegian saxophonist Marius Neset and his band in Munich’s “Unterfahrt”, you already got the feeling from the first piece of leaving the club as the loser of a generational conflict that is otherwise not about music. It’s usually contested over extreme sports where age is a natural limit, maybe skating or parkour. Neset’s mental and technical excellence is such a limit. A drummer sitting at the table tried to count the meters Neset and his drummer Anton Eger work with. Vain.
