Sauerlach – pedestrians hit by a car – district of Munich

A pedestrian suffered serious head injuries when he suddenly stepped onto the street in Sauerlach last Friday and was hit by a car. As reported by the police, the 61-year-old Sauerlacher wanted to cross Hofoldinger Strasse from Zugspitzstrasse at around 6 p.m., but did not use the nearby traffic lights or the central island for pedestrian crossings. As he stepped onto the road, he was hit by the car of a 63-year-old woman from Holzkirchen, hit his head on the windshield and was eventually thrown into the oncoming lane, where he crashed into the right side of another, stationary car. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital by paramedics. Both drivers were uninjured. The Holzkirchnerin’s car suffered damage of around 3,000 euros.
