Satellites – OHB ahead of major order – economy

According to its own information, the satellite manufacturer OHB is about to enter the US market in the commercial space business. Final negotiations are in progress with the US company Space Link Corporation for the delivery of four telecommunications satellites with an expected order volume of more than 300 million dollars (around 260 million euros), as the OHB Group announced. OHB intends to invest around $ 25 million in Space Link Corporation. OHB also sees the deal as an entry into the US market for commercial clients and as a possible door opener for institutional customers. The subsidiary OHB System AG plans to sign an agreement next week that will create the legal basis for the satellite business.
