What can’t the man actually do? Sandro Wagner, together with the two DFB sports directors Rudi Völler and Hannes Wolf, looked after the national team in the friendly against France – with success. The struggling DFB team wins 2-1 and the voices calling for the coaching trio to continue are getting louder.
Wagner’s coaching career is still very manageable. At SpVgg Unterhaching he was promoted from A youth coach to head coach in 2021. This summer he achieved promotion to the third division with the professional team. Wagner is now assistant coach to Hannes Wolf, who trains the U20 national team.
