In the race for the Elysee, the environmental family is now well and truly reunited. Presidential candidate Yannick Jadot disclosed the organization chart of his campaign on Tuesday, with MEP Mounir Satouri as campaign manager. Above all, and even if it is a symbolic position, Sandrine Rousseau obtains the presidency of the “political council”.

The finalist of the primary will also be special adviser on questions of precariousness and discrimination, while Delphine Batho and Eric Piolle respectively inherit “national security in the face of collapses” and “the great ecological coalition”. The involvement of Yannick Jadot’s three former rivals during the ecology primary was unveiled during a joint trip to Lyon on October 8.

The campaign director, MEP Mounir Satouri, 46, already held this post in the 2019 European elections, the first breakthrough for environmentalists in the five-year term (13.5% ahead of the right and the left).

Eva Sas responsible for “100 days”

The deputy Matthieu Orphelin, former macronist take within the ecological family, will coordinate the spokespersons, among whom the former campaign director of Eric Piolle Marine Tondelier, the coordinator of Generations Benjamin Lucas and the close friend of Delphine Batho Hubert Julien -Laferrière. EELV spokesperson Eva Sas, who presented himself in vain against Julien Bayou in the election of the national secretary of EELV in 2019, is appointed responsible for the “100 days”, that is to say the ‘concrete drafting of laws for the exercise of the power of the eventual President Jadot.

François Lamy, former socialist minister and close to the mayor of Lille Martine Aubry, who recently announced his rallying to the environmental candidate, is one of the political advisers. The president of the metropolis of Lyon Bruno Bernard will be responsible for relations with the other parties, while the left currently has seven candidates given far, in the polls, from the second round of the presidential election. The organization chart also has a section dedicated to relations with civil society.
