Metaverse platform Sandbox detects that their Instagram profile has been hacked and posted a fake raffle ticket event during the Alpha Season 4 test event.
The company states that it has bypassed its two-factor authentication system. and other security measures to promote fake giveaways, where the website URL on the profile has been changed. One user claimed they lost NFT after clicking on a fake link.

Sebastien Borget, Sandbox co-founder and chief operating officer, revealed: “The hacker has also contacted a number of users on Instagram to try to ‘rent’ the NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club using our account, offering 40 Ether (ETH) to Use BAYC NFTs for 24 hours.”
According to Borget, The Sandbox was able to restore control of its Instagram account a few hours later.
