4K, Thunderbolt 4 and 27 inch combined
With the ViewFinity S8UT, Samsung has introduced a new monitor that has two Thunderbolt 4 ports. This makes it possible to connect another monitor directly to this. A charging function for notebooks is also on board.
So far there are only a few monitors with Thunderbolt 4 support on the market. With the ViewFinity S8UT has Samsung A new model has now been presented that has two such connections. It is also possible to charge a notebook with up to 90 watts via the monitor. In addition, the S8UT can also use a normal HDMI 2.2 port be connected.
Additional features include a height-adjustable stand with pivot function and two integrated speakers. There is also a USB hub with three USB 3.0 ports. The used 27 inches large IPS panel solves with 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and offers a refresh rate of 60 Hz. According to Samsung, the response time is 5 ms, while the contrast ratio is specified as 1,000:1. Furthermore, supports the maximum 350 nits bright display HDR10. A DisplayHDR400 certification, as is the case with other models in the series, does not appear to be available here. There is an integrated ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the brightness.
It is not yet known when ViewFinity S8UT will appear. Samsung has not yet commented on the price either. The similarly equipped ViewFinity S80PB, which however does not have a Thunderbolt port, currently costs around 566 euros (buy here).
