Samara, the 13-year-old schoolgirl violently attacked in front of her establishment on April 2, was released from the hospital on Monday. “Physically, we can say that she is doing well,” explains her mother Hassiba, Free Midday. “But psychologically, she is not doing well. » The mother explains that her daughter “doesn’t talk too much. I was told it would take time. She has two appointments per week with the child psychiatrist and one appointment per week with a pediatric neurology nurse. To sleep, it’s very complicated.”
Since Friday, two National Education inspectors have been in Montpellier for an eight-day mission, ordered by the Minister of National Education, Nicole Belloubet. Its aim is “to provide the most precise information, establish facts and responsibilities”, specifies the rectorate. The minister called Samara’s mother five times. “I heard from him. She didn’t talk to me about school, she asked me how I was doing morally. It was support, calming. »
The two inspectors must in particular remove the gray areas and the responsibilities of each. Three minors aged 14 and 15 were indicted by the prosecution in this case. During their custody, they admitted to having hit the schoolgirl. Hassiba met them on Tuesday. “Her daughter was the subject of harassment regarding her dress and her makeup,” explains one of her lawyers, Marc Gallix. “She had reported this harassment to the head of the establishment but nothing had changed. Everyone knew that Samara was mocked, subjected to repetitive acts of violence, and risked being beaten when she left school. »
“No one told me not to leave college, so I left”
The lawyer believes that Samara was not protected. He hopes that the head of the college Arthur Rimbaud and the head teacher, who warned the mother of a gathering in front of the college on April 2, will be heard by the investigating judge.
At the hospital, Samara explained to her mother how the day had gone. “She told me: ‘No one told me not to leave college, so I left,’” she told the regional daily. She confirmed to me that three students had lured her from the entrance of the school towards the bus stop where the group who attacked her was. »
