In a tweet on Monday, Sam Bankman-Fried Asset manager at Alameda Research and lead FTX exchange.refuseA Bloomberg report claims that FTX is planning to buy Huobi after on Aug. 12 that Huobi co-founder Leon Li was considering selling a majority of his stake worth more than $1 billion in the company.
“We are not planning to buy Huobi,” SBF said.
FTX has acquired a number of well-known projects before and during the recent market downturn, announcing its plans to acquire crypto exchange Bitvo in July. as part of the move into the Canadian market and acquired Japan’s Liquid Group and its subsidiaries in February.
