A large cloud of smoke drifted over parts of Hamburg early in the morning. A pile of scrap metal on a company site near the port caught fire. Firefighting operations are ongoing.
A fire broke out on a company site at the port of Hamburg early on Thursday morning. A police spokesman said this morning that a pile of scrap metal caught fire on the site where scrap metal is handled for reasons that are still unclear. According to initial findings, no one was injured.
