Salon Luitpold: varied cultural program in the coming weeks. – Munich

What does summer do with writing? This is just one of many questions that will be asked in the Cafe Luitpold salon in the coming weeks. On Sunday, July 2, author Diethelm Kaiser and publisher Elisabeth Sandmann (Suhrkamp) will not only present the book “Summer Joy. About the Lightness of a Season”, they will also talk about summer in literature in general. On the following day, too, everything revolves around the “place in the sun”: Uwe Timm (“Morenga”) and Thomas Kraft (“Time of Scars”) read from their works, which shed different light on the German colonial era; here, too, an expert discussion accompanies. The salon on Tuesday, July 11, is dedicated to “thinking theater”: director Lennart Boyd Schürmann and philosopher Svenja Flasspöhler discuss how jealousy affects living together.
