Creating complex passwords, using a password manager and making regular backups: too few people heed these basic rules of IT security, but at least almost everyone has heard of them. The net is full of them, and today’s “Safer Internet Day” is giving the same advice over and over again. Most of the tips are useful and apparently still necessary. “123456” is still the most frequently used password and only a fraction of users protect their accounts with a second factor.
