S-Bahn Munich: traffic severely affected after the storm – Munich

After severe storms, S-Bahn traffic in Munich is still restricted. Individual sections of the route are still closed, the S-Bahn operator announced early Friday morning. “Delays are to be expected on the main route and in the entire S-Bahn network.”

As of 8:40 a.m., the S-Bahn trains are running as follows:

S 1 Munich East – Munich Airport: The train service of line S1 to the airport has been resumed. However, the S-Bahn runs irregularly. Travelers to and from Munich Central Station (city center) are asked to use an alternative, such as the S8 or the replacement service from Moosach.

S 2 Dachau – Altomünster: The section of road is still closed. A replacement service with taxis has been set up for you. The hourly service between Munich East and Altomünster will probably be canceled until this afternoon.

S2 Markt Schwaben – Erding: The section of road is still closed. A replacement service with taxis has been set up for you.

S3 Lochhausen – Olching: The section of road is still closed. A replacement service with taxis has been set up. There is an S-Bahn shuttle service between Olching and Mammendorf.

S4 Geltendorf: The section between Fürstenfeldbruck and Buchenau is closed.

S6 Gauting – Tutzing: The section of road is still closed. A replacement service with taxis has been set up.

In addition, the S-Bahn line S20 will be completely eliminated. The other lines operate on the regular route. Deutsche Bahn points out that taxis that are used as rail replacement services have been marked as such.
