S-Bahn Munich: Blocking of the main line – Munich

The Munich S-Bahn main line is closed on Monday morning due to a defective signal between Isartor and Ostbahnhof. As reported by Deutsche Bahn, the signal has to be repaired, so the route of the S-Bahn is different. Train cancellations and delays are to be expected.

The S-Bahn operates as follows:

S 1 Freising / Airport: The S-Bahn starts / ends in Moosach. Alternatively, please use the underground lines U 2 Feldmoching or U 3 Moosach and change accordingly.

S 2 Petershausen / Altomünster – Erding: The S-Bahn will be diverted between Obermenzing and Ostbahnhof (long-distance train) and the main line will not be used. The Leuchtenbergring and Berg am Laim stops are omitted.

S 3 Mammendorf: The S-Bahn starts / ends at the Hackerbrücke. (optional pasing)

S 3 Holzkirchen: The S-Bahn starts / ends at the Ostbahnhof. Alternatively, you can use the U 5 underground line here.

S 4 Geltendorf: The S-Bahn starts / ends at Munich Central Station, track 27-36. The Hackerbrücke stop is not applicable.

S 6 Tutzing – Ebersberg: The S-Bahns run on the regular route through the main line.

S 7 Wolfratshausen: The S-Bahn starts / ends at Munich Hbf, tracks 27-36. The Hackerbrücke stop is not applicable.

S 7 Kreuzstraße: The S-Bahn starts / ends in Giesing. Alternatively, you can use the U 2 underground line here.

S 8 Herrsching – Airport: The S-Bahn will be diverted between Pasing and Ostbahnhof (long-distance train) and the main line will not be used. The Leuchtenbergring stop is no longer applicable.

The S-Bahn of the line S 20 omitted.

The 10-minute S-Bahn trains are no longer available.
