Russia’s propaganda uses photo of US aircraft carrier (video)

Watch the video: Embarrassing mistake – Russia’s propaganda uses photo of US aircraft carrier.

“Happy Navy Day” reads the poster put up to celebrate the day on July 31st. Below is a picture of an aircraft carrier. The problem: The picture does not show a Russian ship, but the US USS George HW Bush.
The poster hung in the city of Tyumen in western Siberia was removed a short time later. According to Russian media reports, the poster was hung by unknown persons.
“Navy officials make posters themselves, but they are not responsible for this poster in this place. This is an unauthorized poster. It has already been removed,” the Tyumen city administration said.
It is unclear whether the statement can be believed. However, one thing is certain: it was not the first faux pas of this kind.
Country risk analyst Alex Kokcharov tweeted an overview of four examples in which Russian propaganda has borrowed from American models in the past.
Absurd about the new erroneous poster: Russia’s Navy owns a single aircraft carrier. The Admiral Kuznetsov. The risk of confusion is actually not too high.
