The Russian president never misses an opportunity to recall the extent of his military capacity. In the midst of tensions linked to the war in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin delivered a speech this Thursday on Red Square for the May 9 military parade. The opportunity for him to recall that Russian strategic nuclear forces are “always” ready for combat.
“Russia will do everything to avoid a global confrontation. But, at the same time, we will not allow anyone to threaten us. Our forces [nucléaires] strategic are always on alert,” declared the Russian president.
