Because of the war in Ukraine, second division soccer team FC Schalke 04 is ending its cooperation with the Russian main sponsor Gazprom. The board of directors decided this with the approval of the supervisory board, the association announced.
The second division soccer club Schalke 04 is ending its partnership with its main sponsor, the Russian energy giant Gazprom. The board of directors decided this with the approval of the supervisory board, the association announced.
“The board of directors and the supervisory board are in talks with representatives of the current main sponsor, further information will be announced in due course,” it said.
Most recently, the club had already taken Gazprom as a lettering from the jersey.
