Cher, HIM and Sinéad O’Connor: The candidates danced to music from the 90s on “Let’s Dance” this week. The jury praised some improvements. However, one couple had to go home.

Even a fabric heart with a picture of juror Motsi Mabuse didn’t help him: entrepreneur Tillman Schulz is the second candidate RTL show “Let’s Dance” eliminated. The 34-year-old received seven points from the jury for his rumba to “You,” putting him in last place. Telephone voting also didn’t get the “Lion’s Den” investor and his dance partner Patricija Ionel into the next round.

“It was a standing rumba and not a moving rumba,” said Joachim Llambi after the dance performance. He only got one point for the dance. Schulz accepted the feedback, but did not leave Llambi’s one point without comment: The juror was familiar with low points thanks to MSV Duisburg, he countered.

At least 20 jury points for three couples

This week the candidates danced to music from the 90s. For the Cha-Cha-Cha to “Sexbomb” Detlef Soost and Ekaterina Leonova received the most jury points that evening with 22 points. “That was so good,” said Jorge González enthusiastically. Joachim Llambi also praised some parts of the dance as “really strong”. “I found my master in Ekaterina,” admitted Soost.

Singer Lulu and Massimo Sinató received 21 points for a rumba to “Don’t Let Go”. Juror Joachim Llambi particularly liked the production of this performance. Author Biyon Kattilathu and Marta Arndt received a total of 20 points for their tango to “Be My Lover”.

Emotions and Dracula

Singer Gabriel Kelly, last week’s best, received 17 points from the jury this time. Joachim Llambi criticized, among other things, the final positions of his paso doble for “Join Me (In Death)”. Mabuse also said he should pay more attention to details. Still, she said his show was the first one she wanted to dance in. “I thought Dracula was dancing today,” said Jorge González with a laugh after the performance to the rocking music of HIM.

There was a lot of praise for the emotional Contemporary by sports journalist Jana Wosnitza. She also showed her vulnerable side, said Mabuse. There were also 16 jury points and good feedback for the dances by actor Mark Keller, actress Lina Larissa Strahl and comedian Tony Bauer.

“Better” and “Much Better”

The jury praised improvements in some dance couples compared to the previous week. “You had a lot of energy,” Jorge González said to Sophia Thiel after her Paso Doble. The athlete and content creator received 13 points from the jury. According to the jury, food creator Stefano Zarrella and model Eva Padberg also brought good energy to the dance floor.

Although she came second to last in the jury rankings with ten points, content creator Ann-Kathrin Bendixen also received some positive feedback. All three jury members saw progress compared to the last performance.

Last week, comedienne Maria Clara Groppler was eliminated. After Tillman Schulz’s elimination, twelve dance couples are still in the running. It is now the 17th season of the dance show.
