Cathy Hummls believes that even in difficult times like the present it is okay to distract yourself with television. Laughter is also allowed in her opinion.

Even in times of war and Corona, presenter Cathy Hummels believes that reality formats on television are justified.

“Mental health is always justified. And that also includes distracting yourself, immersing yourself in your own bubble, in your own world, »said the 34-year-old of the German Press Agency in Munich. “Laughter is totally okay,” she emphasized. “I mean, if the war we’re going through has shown us anything, it’s that tomorrow it could all be over. And that’s why it’s all the more important to enjoy the day, to enjoy the present.”

Hummels, who has made her fight against depression public in a book, can be seen from this Wednesday (April 13, 8:15 p.m.) in the new season of the show “Kampf der Realitystars” on RTL II, in which stars and asterisks from various Formats compete against each other on a Thai beach. “”Battle of the reality stars” just helps to switch off,” said Hummels. “And even if you don’t switch off and just laugh and have fun, that’s okay too.”
