Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has announced the sale of Chelsea. The possible net profit should benefit the victims of the war in Ukraine via a foundation.
Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has announced the sale of Chelsea. The possible net profit should benefit the victims of the war in Ukraine via a foundation, the 55-year-old wrote in a Message of England’s top football club on Wednesday evening.
This is “in the best interests of the club, the fans, the employees, as well as the sponsors and partners of the club,” Abramovich said. The sale of the club will be processed in due process. Please remember that this was an incredibly difficult decision and it pains me to part with the club in this way,” the billionaire continued. “Chelsea Football Club and its fans will always be in my heart.”
