Luckily, people who are not satisfied with conventional off-the-shelf Rolls-Royce vehicles have other options: Rolls-Royce Bespoke, the car manufacturer’s tailoring, so to speak. Vehicles can be individually planned and built here – as long as the wallet allows for it.
Relatively unlimited funds were apparently available for the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail now presented, because, as reported by “Auto Motor Sport”, the vehicle is said to have cost around 26 million euros. However, the price is not public, which is why the Rolls-Royce cannot officially claim the record for the most expensive new car in the world.
A car for a museum – what a pity
In general, the luxury manufacturer is silent when it comes to the car. Little is known about the technology, and the identity of the customer is just as nebulous. The owner is said to be the son of a pearl manufacturer who wants to add the vehicle to his already lavish collection of fine vehicles.
A circumstance that suggests that the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail will probably not be used for what it was built for: luxurious camping, or the world’s most decadent picnic. Because under the wooden rear there is enough equipment to serve a sandwich with caviar spread in a remote place – without any risk of sunburn.
At the rear are ready: two stools made of real carbon, fine cutlery and plates, various containers for provisions and a refrigerator for drinks of all kinds. There is also a parasol in the vehicle, for which a holder has been embedded in the body between the tailgates.

In terms of design, the buyer apparently wanted to set a monument to himself and his father’s life’s work: the car is colored in rosé, bronze and cognac, the paint finish is intended to evoke the shimmer of an oyster. In the interior, the wooden rear continues in the form of smaller applications. The instruments are partly made of mother-of-pearl and refer to the owner’s evidently lucrative livelihood.
The third and final Boat Tail
This year’s Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is the third and last vehicle in this model series. Last year’s model is said to have cost only slightly less and is owned by Jay-Z and Beyoncé. It can be assumed that the Boat Tail will be powered by a V-12 petrol engine with around 570 hp. But since, as already mentioned, it will eke out an existence in the buyer’s private museum, that probably doesn’t play a major role anyway.
