British rocker Rod Stewart celebrates one million Instagram fans at the age of 76
There is no age for real coolness: Scottish musician Rod Stewart is happy to have a million followers on Instagram. They appreciate his eccentric lifestyle.
There are few people who can be called “cool” without hesitation. And they prove: Coolness means above all to do your thing consistently and not at all care whether you are following the trend or completely resisting it. Sir Rod Stewart, Scottish rock musician, has been wearing his blonde mullet mop on his head for decades, always pampered with care. Nobody mixes leopard leggings with velvet jackets as fearlessly as he does. And the fact that his young, blonde wife Penny is a head and a half taller than him doesn’t bother the 76-year-old either.
Stewart had world hits with his songs “Sailing”, “Maggie May” and “Downtown Train”, so he doesn’t have to prove anything to anyone anymore. At the age of 76, however, he has now achieved something that hardly anyone of his age and many hip, young colleagues have done so far: he is now followed by a million people on Instagram.
Rod Stewart knows how Instagram works
And to celebrate this special number, the singer showed that he understands exactly how the Instagram picture platform works: he posted a photo in which he shares both an exquisite fashionable style and his good, luxurious life with his followers. Rod Stewart can be seen sitting by the pool at home in shorts and a casual white shirt. On your feet: Dolce & Gabbana slippers. In the background: his imposing property. Next to you: a tray with tea sets, typically British, decorated with delicate flowers. “Thanks to my one million followers. To a happier and healthier year 2022!”, He wrote.
The fans are obviously happy with Sir Rod about the social media success. “I’m one of your million followers. Thanks for your music and the positive messages,” someone comments. “Absolute, massive legend,” clarifies someone else. And a woman writes to the 76-year-old: “Thank you, sir, for your music!”
