Alexander Malofeev is 22 years old, but is already quite established. Since he won the Tchaikovsky Competition in 2014, festivals and major orchestras have become increasingly interested in the Russian pianist, who has been living in Berlin for several months. He came to the Isarphilharmonie accompanied by the Hungarian National Philharmonic, which accompanied the performance with the overture to Bellini’s “Norma” and Prokofiev’s ballet suites to “Romeo and Juliet”.
