Report: Real Madrid face competition for Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni
Real Madrid have to prepare for competition with Aurelien Tchouameni. In addition to the Spanish record champions, Chelsea should also be interested.
Real Madrid are apparently interested in AS Monaco defensive midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, but are said to have faced competition from Chelsea in the race for the defensive midfielder. The Spanish newspaper reports Marca.
Accordingly, the English club can currently calculate the best chances to sign Tchouameni. The 21-year-old shouldn’t push for a farewell, but it seems unlikely that he will play in the Principality in the coming season.
Tchouameni under contract in Monaco until 2024
Tchouameni, who moved from Girondins Bordeaux to the Principality for 18 million euros in 2020, is contractually bound until 2024. In Ligue 1, however, its market value has more than doubled since then, so that it would probably be available for a sum of 35 million euros.
During the current season, Tchouameni has played in all Ligue 1 games for AS Monaco with one exception and was appointed to the French national team for the first time by coach Didier Deschamps at the beginning of September for the World Cup qualifiers.
