Repeated breakdowns, a new black streak for the metro?

Part of the network paralyzed for more than two hours. This Wednesday morning, Lyon metro users had to be patient. Line A came to a complete standstill due to a “technical incident” in the Charpennes sector, where line B also converges. The latter, whose extension to the eastern hospitals must be inaugurated Friday, only circulated between the Part-Dieu stations and Oullins station.

Yet another shutdown which has provoked the anger of travelers spreading on social networks and deploring “too late communication”, since they claim to have been informed “thirty minutes after the start of the breakdown”. “More problems that never end, it’s lamentable,” comments a user in response to the message posted on the TCL Twitter account.

“Malicious act”

The day before, this same line B was stopped for several hours. This time, due to a “malicious act”, says Keolis, specifying that a person had entered the tunnel. This forced the police to intervene to “evacuate him safely”.

Last year, line B, which became automatic, experienced a series of unprecedented breakdowns.
